Forget The Blood Red Feud

My friend had a dream. A real dream while sleeping. Not the dream you have when you want to do something great.

Let my friend be named Josh.

The dream started like Josh's usual daily routine. Going to school and all. One night after having dinner with friends, he started walking back with them.

On a quiet road (not the kind where your bag gets snatched but a calmer one), they were walking and joking like the crazy group they were. There were two giggly girls, a sleepy head, a guy who pretended to be cool, a joker and a no nonsense girl. Josh was enjoying their company a lot. He never asked anything more than this.

A van passed by as they were sitting in a veranda in a park by the road. The van went quite far away and it came round again and stopped in front of the veranda. No one seemed to notice the van except Josh. Although in normal circumstances, it would pose as a large threat to him as it is a sign for robbery, abduction and harassment.

Things went foggy and everything around him stopped. The driver didn't look threatening.

He said, "God says it's time to return home to Him soon."
Josh weirdly didn't doubt this was happening but just looked at his lap. He knew that there was nothing wrong going home but he was feeling the tug of leaving his family and friends.

As if the driver knew what Josh as thinking, he said not unkindly and with a sad smile, "I said soon though, not now. You'll return home 3 weeks after the new year. There's still some time to do what you want to do here. I'll come back soon to pick you up."

The van had some happy kids on it and everyone on it was really happy. The old people were smiling at Josh from ear to ear.

After that, Josh spent his time with his loved ones like his retirement money. He didn't really do what he wanted to do like last time anymore. He just spent time more on the phone with his dad who usually went to the south to work. He also spent time on the phone more with a good friend. He was sad that he hadn't managed to talk to his best friend though like he used to though.

After a while, he seemed to be looking at a fast forward dream.
Time passes really quick when you want it to go slow and need more time.
His eyes grew blurry and hot when he knew he won't be seeing them soon or never. He never wept like this before. He wasn't sad for his life. He was sad and will miss this place.

Scenes of the time left flashed and passed him. The people around him didn't know why was he sad sometimes. The relationship with his best friend wasn't clear. Maybe they were like normal again. Maybe they were still ignoring each other.

At the last few moments, everyone, his friends and family -his loved ones were around him. Laughing and smiling. Joking with one another like in a gathering. Josh couldn't help but be choked in tears and laughter at the same time. Laughing. Yet with tears.

Time to go home.

Was he sad or happy?

Tears of joy?

Or laughter in sadness?

Josh woke up. It was a dream. There was tears on his pillow.
Although God's angel of death was a van driver, itt was so real after all. He never had a dream so real and touching before in a long time.

Like real life.

The night I attended the musical.

Somewhere in Balwyn. It was in the evening.

I don't like single shots actually. I like having people to take photo's with me.

Lastly, live life like you're dying. Make up. Don't keep you're anger before the sunsets. It breaks your heart.
